The Story behind The Naturopathic & Acupuncture Health Center

 

Naturopathic & Acupuncture Health Center is a family run center based in Wethersfield, CT for more than 10 years.Dr. Marie Mammone first started her journey into Naturopathic Medicine when her first child, Renee, had recurrent ear infections and western medicine was not effective in treating her.In a struggle to keep Renee, from having tubes placed in her ears she found a qualified and knowledgeable naturopath.He then began treatment on Renee.Her daughter went in for a pre-op exam and to the amazement of her MD doctor her ears had healed. Dr. Mammone realized that this medicine had to be shared and she wanted to learn all about it.She then traveled to Oregon with her family and attended the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM). 

During Dr. Mammone’s time at NCNM she was exposed to Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture.She shared her knowledge of this to her husband, John.John’s curiosity for Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture brought him to the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine where he studied and received his masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. 

 

The newest addition to the Naturopathic Health Center is Dr. Renee Mammone.She grew up with the knowledge that Naturopathic Medicine encompasses what a doctor should be.Trying to find her own way, she spent a few years heading in the Western Medical direction until she found a school that has the best of traditional and naturopathic medicine. She enrolled in Southwest college of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. 

 

Together they have a wealth of knowledge and expertise in many different areas. 

 

John and Marie have been married 36 years and have a family of three daughters.
